Born March 26, 1971 in Oak Ridge, TN,The youngest in a family of five (Two Brothers and two sisters), Steve Bradley began playing an instrument early in his life and is by all rights a self taught musician, at the age of 6 his mom and dad started him off with a fiddle,along about the time "Devil went down to Georgia" had just been released. A year or so later his Mother bought an old upright piano, Steve would sit for hours learning different chords, and began playing songs by ear. After seeing he had a natural talent with instruments, his father bought him his first guitar at the age of 8, within the first 30 minuets he was playing "Dock of the bay" without the first lesson. Steve has since received formal training from Ben Bolt, and Andy Wood . Steve played in various bands throughout high school, he graduated in 1989 and joined the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country.After leaving the military, Steve began focusing on a stable career to support his family. As fate would have it though, he decided later to pursue his dream of a career in music, it was what he wanted more than anything. Music has always been a forefront in Steve's mind, he has never abandoned it or turned down an opportunity to sit and jam with people, playing any style music. Growing up Steve was exposed to various styles of music he's always had a great affection for Country music. Some of his fondest childhood memories are of him and his father listening to records of Hank williams Junior, George Jones, Conway Twitty, and all of the Old standards. Steve Returned to his roots in country music and began writing songs, starting with "Workin on 9 , a funny take on a fickled marrige, and "Cat-fishing"about a fishing trip he and his brother once took. Steve's writing is lyrically and musically catchy,and also weaves the listener through various parts of his life, he can be quoted as saying "I have a lot of things to say and stories to tell" so you can count on his music being around for a long time.His music background includes rock, jazz. R&B, and, country. Some of his greatest influences are legendary players like Merle travis, Chet Adkins,Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash And many others. Steve spends most of his spare time playing or writing his music, and spending time with his sweet, precious, wonderful wife! and son Jacob.
