The movement of Take Flight started with Hound and Motivation looking to make it in life through music. They started at the young age of 10 and were partners through anything. It started as two seperate labels owned by both artists. The Houndation belonged to Hound and The Inc. belonged to Motivation. Back then their knowledge of the game was low but they worked. The idea of bringing the two labels together to form a powerhouse. That idea was trhown around for awhile but then finnally accepted by the artists and the powerhouse known as Houndation Inc. was created. That name was supposed to be a threat but it began to crumble as the boys got older. The name needed a change for the good and not worse because according to Hound "it sounded to childish and no one would have taken us seriously". Houndation Inc. died out and formed to Tite Flo which sounded more mature and the misplelling was very catchy. That label took off with vengance to impove and be better than the rest. The first song to put them out was O Love featureing Oc. It stayed for a long while until "co" owner Motivation unexpectedly changed it. That sparked the first argument to failure and led to many more. He named it Take Flight for a reason only he knows. Being the type to comprimise before argue Hound agreed to it and that lasted only a while. The hardest part was that Hound lived in Virginia and Motivation resided in Connecticut where this pact started. In the summer of 2007 the boys decided to get on the grind and produce masses of songs and get the first buzz for Take Flight. That didnt happen. Point blank they werent ready for studio time yet. In the summer of 2007 Motivation drove to VA for a week to get to work. Hound and Motivation had yet to work together in the studio yet so the time was needed. They went to Da Spot to do just a few songs so people could talk about it and ended up doing the Took Off freestyle and O Love remix which put them on the map in Stratford and Bridgeport,CT. After Motivation felt like he was "big man on campus" for awhile Hound and Oc were putting in more and more work to get the studio of heir dreams. Oc finnaly got it together and started his Oc Studio movement. You could probably hear his vioce in a lot of songs around richmond in the intro. One day Hound had a serious talk with Oc about what they needed to do to improve on the label and the decision was to drop every one on the label that havent been in the studio at least once. They called Motivation to talk about it and it blew into this arguement with Motivation and Hound. "Things were said that didn't need to be said and said the wrong way if they did, its unfortunate but neccesary," Hound said. The two owners split and Motivation kept Take Flight and Hound decided to start over again. Quickly Sure Records became a name with all the promoting the boys did. Hound is now the only owner of this label and works constantly with his best friend and top artist Oc. Everyday they write somthing new and hot expect some heat from them coming very soon.
