Osiyo. About me... well, I am of Shawnee and Cherokee ancestry as well as English, Irish and ??. I was born in the beautiful state of Colorado, and have lived in many states since then. I now reside in Tennessee. My favorite color, as you have probably guessed by now, is purple.

I believe in one 'deity' who created the heavens and the earth. I like to study Torah, as well as the rest of Tanakh (aka 'the Old Testament' by some people). I can read Hebrew and am still studying to understand the grammar. I realize that the vowel points that were later added to the Hebrew letters actually 'fixed' a translation. If you remove the vowel pointing, you can find alternate meanings to the words, and verses of Torah. I like to open it up and expound on what it means spiritually, rather than insisting on a literal translation. I observe the seventh day weekly shabbath, and the annual holidays as found in Lev. ch. 23. I am a truth seeker. The truth speaks to us through nature when we take the time to listen. I believe that truth will always challenge what we think, feel and believe. It prompts change. It gives hope. It sets you free. In order to be a truth seeker, one must always be willing to examine and re-examine his or her beliefs. You don't really 'own' a belief unless you have taken the time to research it thoroughly for yourself; then you know what you believe, and why you believe it. Otherwise, you will always believe whatever you were 'taught' to believe, never questioning anything. I think it is important also, to respect others who believe differently than you do. I love to read, and I have researched the numerous similarities between the ancient Cherokee and Israel. If anyone out there has an interest in that, I'd welcome any thoughts or conclusions you have drawn from your own research....
Another important thing to mention about me is that I am happily married with 5 step-children, 5 cats, and a dog. My husband also is of native ancestry (South American tribe). Our native heritage is something we are very proud of....
I am vegetarian, and have been for over 20 years. I cook vegan at home, but have been known to splurge occasionally on some dairy when we go out to eat. I have cooked in vegetarian restaurants in the past, but now I just cook for my family and friends....
I believe it is right to abstain from eating unclean animals, but I also see that there are many things going on in the process of factory farming that make even the 'clean' animals questionable as a food source. I don't think we were meant to treat the winged creatures and four leggeds as merchandise for profit. Much abuse goes on in factory farming facilities in the name of GREED. If we are going to eat meat, I feel it is important to raise it ourselves, or know where it is coming from....
I love artisic things. I do Native American beadwork,
and have several years experience with glassblowing/lampworking. I have not had the right place to set up a torch for a while now, so I am out of practice, but some time soon, I WILL play with hot glass again. I have done sign painting also, and calligraphic lettering....
I am starting to get into some gardening because I believe it is important to grow my own food. I am learning about composting, and growing things organically. I prefer NOT to eat pesticides, and GMO's. I also hope to restore the soil to a healthy state. It occurs to me in the past couple of years that it is very important for me to supplement my diet with a good nutritional product. This is due to the fact that the soil has suffered chemical abuse for so long that it no longer provides the necessary nutrients for the foods that we acquire from it. Nutritional loss of soil = nutritional loss of food = nutritional loss to our bodies. These days, we simply MUST supplement. Find a good one and use it. If you need recommendations, please let me know....
I am currently working on some internet marketing projects.
I will be posting some blogs about them for anyone who is interested. These are free or small investment type businesses. They are legitimate and international.
I am keeping my eye out for other like-minded individuals who are seriously looking to make a change in their lives.
If you are not satisfied with your job, and the money you are making, then this is a great opportunity to make a change. Remember, if you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always gotten. Is it enough? You only live once. I encourage you to make the most of your life. I can show you some steps to take toward freedom, but I cannot take the steps for you.May the Creator bless and keep you.
Shalom,
~Tina
