Mesmerizing Zeta Mu Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho

We are the Sassy & Sophisticated Women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., MESMERIZING Zeta Mu Chapter. Our chapter was chartered on Friday, December 6, 1974 on the campus of Lewis University - Romeoville, IL by Six Sensational SoRHOrs: Soror Jacquelyn Patrice Winding, Soror Gwen R. Meaders, Soror Jan Keith, Soror Phyllis Ellis, Soror Gail P. Whitfield and Soror Geneva Butler.The chapter was active for several years and provided many hours of community service until it became inactive in 1995. In the summer of 2007 The TENACIOUS & CHIC Theta Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Oak Park, IL answered the call to revive the chapter. Finally, on November 20, 2007, after many CODE BLUEs, 4 Fierce women took up the Sigma Torch: Soror Danielle Lawson, Soror Brittany Moore, Soror Vanessa Russell and Soror Britney Monroe. We have dedicated ourselves to continuing to serve the community and increasing the awareness of the duties of Sigma by implementing civic, educational and social programs that positively impact the community through "Greater Service, Greater Progress."
