I was born and lived twenty-two years of my life in Milwaukee, WI. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I ran track and field. I took intro to “everything†and couldn’t decide what I wanted to do with myself. During those years I met friends that inspired me to learn how to play guitar. I would watch them play together and wanted so badly to join in. So, I bought a guitar and taught myself over the next few years. I loved the environment and people that I grew up around, but I felt like I had more places to go and people to meet.
With no direction and school leaving me unsatisfied, I left. I packed up the car and drove out to Los Angeles, CA. My first few years were focused on survival. I worked a lot of hours and took a few classes, which didn’t leave a lot of time for music. One singing class in particular helped to bring my focus back to playing. I decided then that singing my own songs is what I truly want to do. I’ve spent the last few years practicing and writing to get myself to a point where I can go out and play for people. Being able to provoke thoughts and emotions through my music is the most satisfying thing. I feel like the time has come to put myself out there. So, here I am.
