MICHAEL MOUSE AND THE MYSTERY BAND’ A little bit of history: In the winter of 2007 Michael Jones (1979 New Brunswick, Yankee land) and Brecht D’Hoore (1982, Brugge, Belgium) played around town under the moniker 8EYES. Armed with their guitars and voices they banged out their original songs on the streets, in the bars and squats of Barcelona. At night they rehearsed next to the Arc the Triomf while hanging out with the local gypsies. After cashing in with their super successful, sold out world tour of West Catalonia, the two of them bought a mansion in Collserola. That is where they hook up with Anna Piana and Alex Bongo. They became ‘MICHAEL MOUSE and the Mystery Band’. Anna is the Duchess Ellington and sometimes we think she has 4 hands in stead of 2. ALEX smashes at least one Cajon a concert. During the summer of 2008 King Albert II of Belgium calls Brecht and begs him to come back to Belgium and help the country solve its biggest crisis since the Second World War. Brecht does not hesitate and decides to move back to Flanders' Poppy Fields. However, before leaving the country he enters in the studio with homie MICHAEL JONES to record 4 fine, original tunes. They bring out an EP named ‘8EYES’ on the 5 of September. Michael is working on a full electrical band. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------- ‘MICHAEL MOUSE Y LA BANDA MISTERIOSA’ Un poco de historia: En el invierno de 2007 Michael Jones (1979 New Brunswick, Yanquilandia) y Brecht D’Hoore (1982, Brujas, Bélgica) tocaban en duo bajo el nombre de ‘8EYES’. Con sus dos guitarras y dos voces ensayaban al lado del Arc de Triomf y presentaban sus temas originales en las calles, bares y casas ocupas de Barcelona. Después de haber ganado un montón de pasta con sus conciertos súper exitosos, los dos colegas se volvieron famosos. Se compraron una casa al lado de Collserola. Allí es donde se juntaron con Anna y Alex Bongo y allí nacia MICHAEL MOUSE and the Mystery Band’. Anna es un monstruo de piano, a veces pensamos que tiene 4 manos en vez de 2. Alex tiene como objetivo principal, romper en cada concierto por lo menos un cajón. En el verano de 2008 el Rey Belga Alberto II llama a Brecht y le pide de volver a su país y sacar el país de la crisis mas grave después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Brecht no hesita y decide volver a los campos flamencos. Antes de irse Brecht se mete con Michael en su estudio y gravan un disquito con 4 canciones originales. Saldrá bajo nombre de MICHAEL MOUSE y con el titulo ‘8EYES’. Michael esta haciendo una banda eléctrica y tocarán conciertos pronto!!!
