Bouquet is a tasting term used to describe a wine's scent or smell. It could be clean or sulphurous, immature or well-developed, full, rich and complex or dull. Other bouquet descriptions are: flowery, grassy, fresh, fruity and aromatic.Chardonnay is typically associated with pear, apple, peach, apricot, vanilla, lemon, melon, pineapple and other tropical fruit and honey tastes and scents.Pinot Noir is typically associated with flavors and scents of black currant, blackberry, pomegranate, plum, lavender, black peppercorn, wet wood and earthiness.Zinfandel and Syrah are typically associated with scents and flavors of black currant, blackberry, pomegranate, plum, lavender, black peppercorn, wet wood and earthiness.
