"Funeral for A Friend, meet your competition This album operates like a strategic business plan – efficient, precise, sharp and not willing to compromise error at the risk of success. “Burn” is an exercise in accuracy as the band merges dark aspects of hardcore punk with lighter melodies. A challenge many take on and subsequently fail at, BSL manages to blend the two sounds into a disk you want to simultaneously tap your foot and mosh to. This machine like execution of every definitive drum beat and guitar solo send eardrums into a frenzy over what aspect of unusual composition to devote to. These rather loud beats counter more mainstream choruses, emotive lyrics and tender moments of apparent loss resulting in a complex disk whose full value is not realised on first listen"

'..Staffordshire's Blast Stereos Loud play a spikey blend of pop-punk that has a slightly harder, metallic edge. 'A Hollywood Ending' is catchy and the vocals remind me of The Starting Line, this Ep is on the right lines and suggests the band could be ones to watch.'
