My name is Bastiaan. I am 31 years old and live in a small town called Duiven. My greatest passion (besides my girlfriend and son!) is playing drums. I started playing drums at the age of 11. My uncle gave me my first drumkit. It was a very old black Pearl drumkit. After a few years of practising I decided to buy my first drumkit. I bought a Mapex type Venus in the color red. A few years later I met Vince and Teun and started a band, which became Mortal Form. Because I wanted to play with two bassdrums I bought an new drumkit: Yamaha Stage Custom. On this one I play ten years now and it still sounds great.Besides Mortal Form I use to play in Impalement. This bands plays Death metal in US style. Because I became a father I had to stop with Impalement. I only play in Mortal Form nowdays.My setup is: 2x 22” bassdrums 14”wooden snaredrum 10”, 12”, 13”, 14”, 16” toms My cymbals are: 14”hihat Paiste 2000, 22”ride Paiste 2000, 16” Paiste Alpha Crash, 16”Stagg Crash, 18”Sabian AX Crash, 10” Meinl splash and a 16”Tagg ChinaOn January the 26th our cd Taste the Blood will be released all over the world.
