The time had come to sell it all and run. I'd wanted to run so many times. Jet off north or south, east or west, aimless and free. I had spent ten incredible years in Sacramento, growing into myself, writing songs, and recording and performing with musicians I'd always admired: Robert Brookins and Bobby G of Earth Wind & Fire, Dwayne Wiggens of Tony Toni Tone, Kenya B of Lucy Pearl, Brian Collier of the Lauren Hill band, Roger Smith of Tower of Power, Derek Allen of the Lynell Richi band.
