About Me

my life has been anything but boring thus far...yeah, i could tell ya a story or three. i'm a little bit o' this, a little bit o' that - i fit in everywhere but nowhere. i tend to gravitate to the darker side of life but appreciate the lighter as well - it's all about balance. i find beauty in all cultures and walks of life. costa rica and all of central america constantly pulls me towards it like a magnet. i normally spend at least a couple of months out of the year outside of this screwed up country [update...that screwed up country i speak of is the u.s. - at the moment i am living in africa until late 2009, far, far away from that place!], whether it be working for wildlife or conservation organizations or just getting away. i have been fortunate enough to see and experience some of the most amazing things on this planet and be surrounded with the most wonderful people. i can't wait to see what's around the next bend...
...and right now i'm headed straight for it.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

artists, conservationists, junglists, ticos, animal lovers, bodhisattvas, anarchists, freaks and weirdos, revolutionaries, zookeepers, vet techs and other veterinary peeps, punks, bird watchers, tattoo addicts, travelers, gypsies and nomads, growers of carnivorous plants, mischief makers, people who love and appreciate me just the way i am, and anyone who isn't afraid of living their dreams and walking their own path.

oh, and david lynch.

Malawi at last

The journey begins again. A bit of a disappointment at the San Francisco airport ticket counter in finding out that I did not have an aisle seat that I usually request for long flights, but a sweet ...

Out of Africa and back again.

What a whirlwind visit this trip home to the states has been! So much to do in so little time. I think I was a little over-ambitious in planning things and thinking that I could do everything I wanted...
