Chase Costello grew up in Northern California beginning in Humboldt County and later moving to the Napa Valley. Born into a family heavily involved with music, Chase was encouraged to play music from the age of 5 and began playing his first drum set at age 10. To date Chase has developed a repertoire of music skills including proficiency in music production, film scoring, and DJing, and the ability to play piano, guitar, and drums. Chase has been most influenced by Paul Oakenfold-Perfecto Presents Another World; BT-Movement in Still Life; DJ Tiesto-In My Memory and Nyana; Prodigy-Fat of the Land. Within his first year of entering the local San Diego DJ market he was mentored by the Southern California Trance Guru Cowboy Mike and has been billed with Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Christopher Lawrence, Dirty South, George Acosta, John ’00 Fleming and Victor Dinaire. As of the summer of 2008 Chase has completed his major in Business Administration-Finance with a minor in Electro-Acoustic Music Composition from San Diego State University. Chase Costello is now a DJ/Producer with EV music and Eventvibe.com under the auspices of Tim Ortiz. Chase specializes in Progressive House, Progressive Trance, and Hard trance. His current residencies are with On Broadway Event Center and Spin Nightclub.
