" SOUL VOLITION album due out soon"

About Me

Singer/Songwriter George Arnare will make a debut in early 2009 with his first solo album SOUL VOLITION
Self Penned and Produced the album features very special guests iOTA, Terepai Richmond, Alex Hewetson, Dave Longo, Robbie Woolf and members of Hermitude, The Zephyr Quartet and The Cafe Of The Gates of Salvation amongst others.
Formerly a member and soloist with Gospel A'capella choir Cafe Of The Gate Of Salvation and with Turkish Folk and Classsical Orchestra Fasil Istanbul. George has performed at various festivals in Australia such as Womadelaide and Hemispheres and venues such as The Side On Cafe, The Cauldron, Mr Goodbar and The Basement. He has also performed with Paul Capsis, Tina Harod and the late great Jackie Orszaczky.
George's father being a folk musician and playing the Persian Santoor exposed him to Classiical and folk Middle Eastern and gypsy music as well as to radio pop/rock hits with Kiss and Abba being the very first Western musicical influences.
Early music lessons at the age of 8 however proved to be traumatic for the young student as his music teacher was abusive. George however managed to keep his instinctual musical abilities intact and began writing his own songs from a very young age (8). Lyrics followed when 11.During high school George performed as a drummer performing regularly with the school band. At 17, out of school and free to pursue singing George bought himself a 12 string guitar and began writing songs.

The untimely death of a talented and encouraging friend and the birth of his niece made him realise that time is limited and childhood fears can sabotage the greatest of worthy desires. So to combat the past and present 'dragons of fear' SOUL VOLITION came into being as a collection of songs grouped together to serve this purpose. In that sense it is a conceptual album that frames a journey from darkness to light, ignorance to wisdom, fear to bravery.
George has recently worked with Aria Award winning Producer Anton Hagop (Silverchair/Powderfinger) and Dave Longo on the final mixes with a release date looming closer (finally).
Through the songs George hopes to inspire himself and others in self expression and self assistence in overcoming personal or socially imposed limitations.
