About Me

We met five years ago and, at the bidding of three fairy godmothers, began to play together. We played our first gig a week later. Then John took a piece Cynthia had written for her mother and hooked it up with a humpback whale song. You can hear it on the player at this site. He just hit the play button on two machines and it fit together. So these days we dedicate our music to all the creatures of the sea, land and sky. We play our music locally, mostly for folks who want a contemplative program. Consequently we end up playing at churches, libraries and meditation centers. Not exactly the wild life of roving musicians, but we'll take it. We hope you enjoy our music. And we hope you will support the efforts of those who are working to protect the diversity of life on our planet.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.brigidscoracle.com
Band Members: Cynthia Hughes: Celtic harp, guitar, whistles, vocals

John Crockett: Cello, whistles, igil
Influences: We love this Earth. We love the creatures and the elements and especially the wild sea. We are influenced by all of that life and by silence. We lean toward a Celtic feel to our music and sometimes it sounds rather "wintry". We adore Tuvan music. We listen to folk and experimental music from around the planet and are especially fond of music that has an understatement to it.
Sounds Like: A little sample is on this site and we'll add more tunes as time goes along.

Thank you for checking out our site. We wish you great Joy.
Type of Label: Indie
