Music:

I like any music with a good hook in it. I know they're only put in music to grab our attention with something catchy so we will continue to listen to them, but I don't care. If it still sounds good, I'll listen to it 1000 times. Some of my favorite past/recent bands include...Social Distortion (Punk rock wouldn't be what it is without Mike Ness!), Operation Ivy, Rancid, Thrice, Avenged Sevenfold, Shai Hulud, Atreyu, Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, NOFX, Strung Out, Metallica, Aerosmith, Skid Row, KISS, Bush, Blink 182, The Offspring, Dashboard Confessional (great lyrics), Elvis, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Jewel (awesome voice), and all the trendy rap songs they play in clubs, etc. As you can see, I like it all.

Books:

I hated reading until I read Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. It didn't so much as scare me into reading, as it "sparked" (pun intented) a journey of thoughts that led to reading. I read Martian Chronicles shortly after and fell in love with Bradbury's use of metaphors. 1984 was another great book that gets you thinking. One of my all time favorites is The Catcher In the Rye. There is not 1 person who could not be entertained with this book. Holden Caulfield is the coolest guy you could ever read about. If you have not read this book GO GET IT!!!

Heroes:

I find it hard to list all my heros since there are so many people who have influenced me over the years! As a mustang owner, it's a given that Mr. Steve McQueen is included in my list. If you drive a mustang or think you're a fan and you haven't seen Bullitt, then you have been deprived of all potential. Stop reading this, and go rent it! Musically, Mike Ness revolutionized the punk scene as mentioned earlier... The world would not be the same without Albert Einstein. After learning about the impact he had in the science community and studying some of his theories on general relativity, he almost doesn't seem human! This guy was a stud...
