The McGonigle-Wiederaenders-Sellers Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for organ/tissues transplants. The MWS foundation just donated $50,000 to Loyola University Hospital Transplant Unit. The MWS holds an annual golf tounrament to raise money for the organ/tissue donation cause. Past year celebrities have been, Dick Butkus, Sean Considine of the Philadelphia Eagles, Dennis McKinnon of the Chicago Bears, legendary Chicago Cub Ernie Banks, Tom Waddle, several PGA golfers and MTV Personalities Evan Starkman, Randy Barry, & Dave Sky. We just had our 2008 Benefit Golf Tournament which was a complete success! We also just held our 1st Annual Rally for Life at the Precinct in Sterling Illinois. Our musical guests included Painkiller Hotel, KiZMaZ, Kirkland, Down 24 & Odd 1 Out. Everyone who attended has a wonderful time and looks forward to the Rally for Life next year! The co-founders are William "Bill" Sellers, Paul Wiederaenders, & Kent McGonigle. This foundation was inspired by transplant recipients, Linda Wiederaenders & Phyllis Sellers. We also were blessed to meet a wonderful woman named Shannon Rae. She is a 19 year old heart transplant patient who was kind enough to come and speak at the Rally for Life and participate in our Golf Tournament. We all feel very lucky to have meet her and develop a wonderful friendship.
