About Me

From the very start I never wanted to play guitar to just play other people's songs. I remember when I first started learning to play and a couple of other guys could play these cover songs. I was really pissed but I kept trying to develope my own voice. I've always wanted to use the guitar as a instrument of expression for myself. Maybe that's selfish, but I have NEVER wanted to play for anyone but me. It has to be the same for a painter....is the goal to be able to replicate someone elses art or to create your own? It was a very easy answer for me. I wish to continue to increase my skills forever, but I'm happy where I am now becasue I'll be better tomorrow.Over the years I've had alot of influences, matter of fact anyone that can play, I'm inspired by. Jazz, Rock, Country, Fusion or Blues hearing something that awakens your muse can come from anything. I've actually never sat down and learned songs from other people, instead I've let the spirit of the songs touch me and then allowed that to guide me through my creative process. At that point it's up to YOU as an artist to create and convey what your trying to say. That is something that I want to always be working on....the transperancy of feeling something and being able to create it on the guitar, that's the magic.Every emotion, every picture, every perception, every moving piece of a movie, ever single interaction you have as a human being has an interpretation on the guitar, unlocking those is the zen of the journey isn't it?
