About Me

My Life: I am a born-and-raised Hoosier. I was brought up on pretty strong moral principles. As a child I got my butt whooped when I deserved it and received praise when I earned it. Contrary to politically correct "Dr Spock" thinking that has produced an overall self-absorbed and worthless generation, I am better a better man for it. I consider myself a very lucky man to have had two loving parents who cared about who I would become. I raised two boys, Eric Jr. and Christopher, whom have grown to be awesome and responsible young men. I am incredibly proud of my boys, and our parent-child relationship has evolved into great friendships as well. I was married twice, the first producing two great boys, but little else. The second time was to a wonderful woman who stepped in and became the only mother my boys ever really knew. Though our marriage wasn't perfect, we were great friends. She died of cancer in 2007. I am now with an incredible woman, Megan, who has given me hope and inspiration. Our connection is deep and full. I have never felt so perfectly matched with another in my life. We have a completely awesome relationship that just keeps getting better as time goes by. They say the third time is the charm, and I believe that now with all my heart. We are so compatible on every level. We do disagree at times, but we never fight. We COMMUNICATE like two adults should. We don't go to bed angry at one another. We are a perfect match for each other. I truly feel like the luckiest man alive. I vowed to never marry again. But then again, I never in my wildest dreams believed I would meet a woman like Megan...
My Beliefs: I believe you sleep in the bed you make. I believe if you are miserable, you have no one to blame but yourself. I believe that nobody owes me anything, but I owe myself a great deal. I believe you should do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I believe that you can't change the things that happen to you, but you CAN control how you deal with it. I believe a little tact goes a long way. I believe in God Almighty. I believe the greatest evil is actually a tie between power & money. I believe that organized religion as it is today is the second greatest evil. I believe "Affirmative Action" is pure RACISM from it's very core which will never accomplish anything but furthering the cause of bigotry and reducing the capabilities of our country to the lowest common denominator. I also believe Affirmative Action goes directly against the teachings of the great American human rights patriot, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I believe the federal marijuana laws are, at best, inhumane and outright ridiculous, not to mention constitutionally unsound. I believe in wearing seat belts, but I also believe a law telling me I have to wear one as an adult is a clear violation of civil rights. I believe you should never put more on your plate than you can eat. I believe true friends are extremely rare, and as such, are a precious gift. I believe you get out of life what you put into it. I believe that when you die nobody will remember how fancy your car was, or how much money you were worth, but they WILL remember what kind of person you were. I believe greed robs you of the greatest things in life, which have nothing to do with money. I believe that if you have read this far, you have a pretty good idea what kind of person I am, and what I value in life.
My Interests: I am a musician. I don't try to be anyone else when I perform, but myself. I don't do it for the money, or the "pussy", like most. I am a REAL musician. I get paid to drive, unload and set up equipment, tear it down at the end, and drive home. The performance part I do because I love it. I love to entertain. I love seeing peoples reaction to my music. I am far from the greatest singer. I am far from the greatest guitar player. But I am REAL, and I always strive to be better. What I do comes straight from my heart and soul. I think it is important to help others who have the music "bug" learn how to express themselves with their music, the same way a few musicians helped me in the beginning. I can perform in front of a dozen or a thousand people and never bat an eye, but put me in the middle of that same crowd and I freak! Some people think I am "stuck up" because I have trouble being in the middle of large crowds. Nothing could be further from the truth. When I take a break at a performance, I usually "hide" because of my fear, not because of superficial arrogance. I love video production. I love to produce short films that entertain. I guess that's what I want to be when I grow up... I love to fly. Which is why I joined the military at 17, and became a helicopter pilot. I learned the value of life in the military. I learned that getting shot is HIGHLY over-rated. I learned that when you die in combat, you're dead. You don't "spawn" back to the starting point. But I also learned that when the shit is on, you fear nothing, and will do extraordinary things to protect your team. I learned that if you do show fear in those moments, you are as good as dead. I also learned that the government can alter reality with the stroke of a pen.
To Sum It Up: I am what I am. I don't pretend to be anything else. A lot of people see me with my "long hair and hippie-like headdress" and make inaccurate stereotypical assumptions. Sad for them. But therein lies the reasons I look as I do. It keeps superficial people who will judge a book by its cover far away from me.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Real people that aren't hung up on all the latest fads and fashions. People that have strong moral values. I don't have any time for fake, pretentious people.. They just piss me off.
