IMPROVISING CELLIST

About Me

Lucas is an improvising cellist based in Amsterdam. Though he has a classical background he soon found his way into jazz, fado, tango, fusion, world music, triphop and so on. He made several European tours with Herbert Groenemeyer and performed with Marco Borsato. Lucas did studio recordings for (a.o.) Nelly Furtado, Freshbeat Studios (tv-commercials), Fred van Straten, Jina Sumedi, Wieke Garcia and Anne Chris. With his electric cello he performed with Wicked Jazz Sounds at the Sugar Factory and with DJ's in Club Winston. Currently Lucas plays in a triphop band called Adoma (www.adomamusic.nl), is part of tango trio/quartet Tango Aliado (www.musiquality.com) and regularly plays in jam sessions hosted by the Chaishop.Plain MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider

Sounds Like: Well, sounds like: Lucas!Underneath you see Lucas and a great percussion player named Terence Samson performing a jam session. It's pure improvising, without any rehearsal (O, that's why it sounds so awful, hehehe). This jamsession is at coffeeshop de Rokerij, hosted by the Chaishop.Lucas Stam plays with Herbert Groenemeyer at Olympiastadion
