Яc was formed by three school mates in early 2007. The idea to start a band had actually come from both Michael and Tim, who were keen to start practicing together and see where it would lead. Both band members decided that they liked the idea of starting a band so much that they went looking for a bass guitarist to join the band and therefore make a 3 piece.
They didn’t have to look far as long time school friend Tyson Heath, decided to join the band. It was actually a surprise as Tyson, had no real musical background at all and pretty much started to learn when he was asked to join the band, whilst the other two members had had prior experience either playing instruments, or a musical back ground. Practice started in late July/early August, with the three members, jamming together, and playing covers, from the likes of the Offspring, to Blink 182, and Rage Against the Machine, and even moving onto creating a song of there own.
While the band was enjoying creating music as a three piece, something was missing. Anotther guitar was needed to add the extra vibe the band needed. While the search continued for a 4th member, Leon Blair (lead guitarist from For Our Hero), filled in at regular gigs.
In late November Яc played its first gig, at a 21st, with a set list of covers, from the likes of Nirvana to Blink 182, to Rage Against the Machine, and even Bryan Adams.
In January 2008 the band met Nathan through an old school friend Zac Harvey. Nathan, having a vivid interest in music and guitar, inquired about the spare spot in the band. After a single rehearsal the band welcomed Nath as the missing link they needed to artistically create more advanced and proffessional music.
For last 6 months Яc has put performances on hold while they worked on new repertoire to perform at a later date after a release of a demo cd.
The demo cd, titled 'Blind Hearing', was released 18th July 2008. The band received much feedback from this cd, and took listener's comments on board to improve their performance and overall playing style. The band wishes to thank all those who provided feedback, as well as Shano from the Band Booth who recorded and produced the demo.
In around september Tim our old drummer decided to leave the band as he had more pressing things in life which is always good and we all hope him the best. But as luck arrived just after we found a drummer named Mike Pangalis, who is a very good musician, who plays guitar aswell as drums and loves every moment of it.Яc is now in song writing which is great, and we are going in the right direction, Peace.
