Nick Sena - Composer

About Me

Nick Sena began his musical career as a pianist at the age of 7, then quickly mastered guitar and bass shortly thereafter.
At 18, Nick entered Thornton School of Music at USC as a piano performance major. It was here that he took his first project as a composer, working on a student film. One film led to multiple student films and he soon realized that his voice was in writing music.
By the time he was a junior, Nick had shifted a large portion of his time and focus into composition, utilizing his ability on the piano to arrange and compose for various ensembles. Using his body of work from student films, Nick received work for informational videos for the government as well as short independent films and commercials for national products such as Jordan Athletics and Doritos.
Nick, 22, graduated from USC in 2007 with a BA degree in piano performance and simultaneously released his first full length debut as a hip hop producer with Robust's El Foto Grande. The album immediately snatched the attention of the independent hip hop community, as DJ Verb of groundliftmag.com called his work “downright masterful”. Nick has since then lent tracks to Los Angeles acts Thirsty Fish, Mestizo, Abstract Rude, and Lucky.i.am of the Living Legends.
Whether it be an orchestral cue, a solo piano work, or a drum driven instrumental, Nick is a veteran behind the scenes, engineering and mixing all of his work.
