About Me

After touring, performing, and recording in over 40 countries, I have settled in Nashville for the next phase of my musical career. I am proud to be endorsed by DDrums and Zildjian, and welcome any other drummers to come to me for any help I can give them in their drumming choices. Having closed my school of music in Clermont, Florida, USA, just outside of Orlando, which was called S.L.A.M. { South Lake Academy of Music }, I am concentrating on my Nashville session work, and our band, BABY BLUES & The NO ATTITUDE BAND with my wife, Leslie. We have traveled the US with our band, and look forward to now locating out of the Nashville area. I am a member of my home state of Iowa's Rock & Roll Musician's Association Hall Of Fame, Class Of 2004, and my autographed Zildjian Drumsticks and autographed photos hang in the permanent Hard Rock Cafe collection. Our band's two CD's, "Real Beauty" and "The Collection", along with our non-profit corporation, "Change A Kid's Life, Inc." have raised and donated over $350,000 to charities for children, and children's health care. Leslie and I look forward to working with children's organizations in Tennessee. Currently searching for a new location for my school, I am teaching a select group of students. Former students include Travis Smith of "Trivium" fame, currently among the top five drummers in metal, also King van den Berg, drummer with "Through You", and Mark Marshall, Raz Saylor, & Ryan Palm, all successful session drummers in Orlando, Florida. My very first experience with showing another musician/friend how to play drums was with my Iowa boyhood best friend, Phil Jones, now the legendary drummer with Tom Petty, Wynonna, Joe Walsh, Roy Orbison, The Rolling Stones, and many others. Phil is now recognized as one of the session greats of the LA area. I have had the honor of playing shows and tours with many major artists, among them Diana Ross, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Jack Jones, Miss Peggy Lee, Steve Miller, Yanni, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Platters, Willie Dixon, and Bob Hope tours for our Armed Forces. I look forward to many more great shows with Nashville's finest, as well as our new and improved BABY BLUES & the NO ATTITUDE BAND. Watch for one of our upcoming tours through your area soon. ******{ Hello Florida! We miss you!! }******
