Bio from ugo.com: The son of Big Boss, branded with the designation Solid, is a modern-day legend among the militaries and governments of the world. Created as part of the Les Enfants Terrible project, Solid Snake possessed a level of intelligence not seen in his siblings. He was raised and trained from birth almost entirely by FOX-HOUND, which was being led by Big Boss at the time. Snake had no idea that the man behind FOX-HOUND was his father, a revelation that would haunt him later for some time. Snake was awarded the title Solid, which was given to the second highest-ranking soldier in the unit. The first title, FOX, was awarded to his good friend and brother-in-arms, Gray Fox.In 1995, Solid Snake was tasked to take part in "Operation Intrude N313," which would later be remembered as the Infiltration of Outer Heaven. Snake was tasked with discovering what happened to the first operative that was sent in and mysteriously vanished, Gray Fox. It was during this mission that Snake would stumble across the weapons platform that would forever be part of his destiny: Metal Gear. Snake was successful in rescuing Gray Fox, and discovered hat Outer Heaven was actually run by Big Boss. The revelation was crushing for Snake as he was forced to fight Big Boss, who he believed that he killed at the time.In the late 1990s, Snake would rejoin FOX-HOUND, now under the command of Roy Campbell -- a man that would become one of Snake's most trusted friends. FOX-HOUND sent Solid Snake in to defuse the Zanzibar Land Incident and recover the stolen OILIX technology. During this mission, Solid lost the first woman he ever loved -- a Czech operative named Natasha -- and would discover that Big Boss had survived and was being aided by Gray Fox.This was Solid Snake's most emotionally challenging mission. He destroyed the next-gen Metal Gear being piloted by Gray Fox and would then engage in hand-to-hand combat within in the midst of a minefield. After he presumably killed Gray Fox, he turned his sights on Big Boss, his father, who finally met his end in 1999 by Solid Snake's hands.The events in Zanzibar drove Solid Snake to leave FOX-HOUND and flee to the Alaskan mountains after being diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It was many years later before Campbell would be forced to track Solid Snake down. He wanted nothing more than to grant Solid Snake's wish for freedom and isolation but an incident arose that only he had the potential to handle. His brother, Liquid Snake, had seized control of Shadow Moses, and with it a prototype Metal Gear.During the Shadow Moses incident, Solid Snake would confront and defeat the new members of his old unit FOX-HOUND, discover his origins, kill his brother Liquid, once again fight and defeat a Metal Gear unit, and lastly help his old friend Gray Fox find peace. Solid Snake again vanished following the Shadow Moses incident, but resurfaced some time later.It would be at Otacon's prodding that Solid Snake would return to action, this time working under his own command. Otacon discovered that mass-produced Metal Gears were being developed by most of the major governments of the world, and plans for the nuclear weapons platform leaked into the black market, leading to black market versions of the mecha as well. It would be in 2007, while operating on a tip that Solid Snake would infiltrate a tanker docked off the island of Manhattan. It was here that the Marine Corps were placing the finishing touches on what would be the prototype for a U.S.-produced Metal Gear codenamed "RAY." Solid Snake's mission was to obtain proof of the existence of the new Metal Gear unit (to leak to the press) and do whatever was needed to stop its deployment. Unbeknownst to Solid Snake, he was being monitored by Revolver Ocelot, who used the confusion Snake created to launch a siege of the Tanker.When Solid Snake finally confronted Ocelot, he observed what would be the first instance of "possession." Revolver Ocelot's grafted hand twitched uncontrollably, and after what appeared to be a seizure, Ocelot changed, adopting he speech patterns and gestures of Liquid Snake who proudly announced his rebirth to Solid. "Liquid Ocelot" then proceeded to hijack Metal Gear RAY sinking the tanker in the process and Snake with it.Snake and Ocelot kept a low profile following the incident since they were now considered terrorists, and Solid Snake used the destruction of the tanker to spread misinformation that he died onboard. He would re-emerge later on the Big Rig after receiving a "tip" a new version of Metal Gear was being developed on the floating platform.It is during the Big Rig Incident that Solid Snake, operating under the alias of Pliskin, would team up with a FOX-HOUND recruit named Raiden. Snake was under the impression that FOX-HOUND was disbanded and was weary to trust the rookie.Snake would eventually discover that the Big Rig actually housed Arsenal Gear and an army of AI-controlled mass-produced Meal Gear RAYs. He would also learn that the former President of the United States, George Sears, was also a clone of Big Boss and is also part of the Les Enfant Terrible project. Unlike Solid and Liquid, he represented a perfect combination of the two.Snake was last scene during a four-way conflict atop Arsenal Gear involving Lady Fortune, Ocelot (under possession of Liquid and in control of Metal Gear RAY), and Solidus and Raiden. After Fortune was defeated, and Raiden had managed to disrupt Ocelot's attack, Ocelot plunged Metal Gear RAY into the Atlantic Ocean. Solid Snake dove in after him and wasn't heard from again.It is rumored he did make contact with Otacon and Raiden, but had lost contact with Ocelot and the Metal Gear he was piloting............MGS pics 1, 2, and 4
