I grew up on the Blackfeet Reservation in Northwestern Montana. I live in Washington, DC and work for the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) as the National Field Director for the Native Vote Initiative. Before my position with NCAI I served as a Program Manager for the Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program for the U.S. Department of Defense. I have lived in Washington, DC for ten of the past twelve years, spending a two year hiatus in my hometown of Browning, MT, where I served as the Director of the Blackfeet Heritage Center and Art Gallery. I have worked at other institutions in Washington, DC, including the Smithsonians National Museum of the American Indian and the United States Departments of Agriculture and Energy, and the Democratic National Committee.I don't have any kids but I do have a dog named Max. He is a meathead. Most white folk call him a Collie, most Natives call him a Lassie dog. He will sniff anyone, so beware when you walk in my house.
