Ramblin' Fools

The Ramblin Fools write and play modern Americana music. The focus of the band is the songs and the acoustic instrumentation blends with and supports the clean melodies and harmonies. The focus of the band is original material but the band has also worked playing past and current country music hits.The band members include Dale Jennings on upright bass, Paul Van de Reit on drums and percussion, Aubrey Richmond on violin and vocals and Gordon Merrick on acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals. Dale is a veteran of the Detroit and Los Angeles blues scene and has toured with local and national acts. Dale has been very active in the country music scene for the past two years. Paul is a native of St. Louis and has been active in the country music scene since arriving in 2004. Aubrey is relatively new to the Los Angeles area but her country and gospel background has made her busy of late as musicians and producers have taken to her lyrical and soulful voice and lively violin solos. Gordon is a veteran of the Los Angeles club scene having played everything from punk to power pop to blues but has been playing in Los Angeles country clubs as a solo artist for the past two years and performed as a duo with Aubrey since November 2005.The band was formed in early 2006 and has been playing in and around Los Angeles since March 2006. The band has played corporate events and most of the acoustic and country clubs in the area including the Pig ‘n’ Whistle, Molly Malone’s, Highland Grounds, the Rainbow Room and Cowboy Country among others. The band has developed a following in these clubs and writes and records new material on an ongoing basis.
