About Me

I really DON'T accept random friend request, especially if I don't know you! Please, you need to make yourself as an aquaintance and send me a message first before I can consider you.
Anyways...
I'm always defining and redefining myself through discovery and self-actualization. But one thing I'll always find myself identifying: a musician. Seriously, I need a real hobby besides video games.
I'm a hopeful music student devoted to playing classical and jazz. The violin I play predominately in classical. I get my jazz fix by playing the upright bass. I can play the viola, cello, and piano half decently, while slowly learning how to write music. My secret fantasy is to be able to ‘comp the piano like Thelonious Monk, walk the bass like Ron Carter or Stanley Clark, have the technical skills on the violin like Itzhak Perlman, and to write broadways. To me, music is my life, my light, and my reason for existing.
I’d like to think I'm rather complicated, though people closest to me would probably say I have my head in the clouds. I find the best way to describe me is the description of a Pisces , or better yet, a Aquarius-Pisces cusp . I'm also a hopeless romantic. I enjoy feeding off of people’s stories about their significant others and love songs only to realize I longed for my own real love story.
I’m also a political junkie. I follow politics and I love holding discussions to no end. I like to think myself as being fair-minded, though I admit to being a socialist Democrat. Above all else, I strongly believe in human rights as well as giving everyone an equal opportunity to succeed, and that we all should help each other when in strife.
Here's some more about myself and it gets updated time to time...

Secret ingredient to better tasting pasta: extra virgin olive oil and green onions. Why is it that the virgins always make everything taste better?

This was an interesting quote my sister had mentioned to me: Women need to feel close to the person they love to become intimate. Men become intimate to get closer to the person they love.

The Keys to Your Heart
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.

You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted. What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

You Are Sunrise
You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary.

You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward.

Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts.

All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be. What Time Of Day Are You?

I'd like to meet:

Anyone. Anyone can be a student and anyone can be a teacher. I love to TALK and learn, and I enjoy deep conversations about everything! I'd like to meet anyone intellectual who enjoys conversing ideas and thoughts without sounding like a blow hard. Anyone who shares the same love and respect for music, or anyone who is fair minded and loves life in general. And if you know what sus chords and chromaticism is, message me!

I hate top friends! Tis unfair to everyone I have on my friends' list! I love 'em all equally!

Music:

Music mood at the moment:

I tend to have a wide range of tastes in music, from classical to punk rock, and that crazy, atonal and melodic-less avant garde, including ethinic music from Latin America and the far East. However, my heart leans towards romantic classical and jazz because that's what I play. I especially love music that comes from the soul. I can'st stand pop, dumb rock music (today's rock), rap, and I especially hate country!

I have a lot of favorite bands I enjoy listening to! The list keeps growing from time to time, but I have so many, I'll spare the d's.

Movies:

Movies are okay, but you'll rarely me spend my eight bucks. You'll most likely see me spend more on a live performance. Better interaction with performers live than on the screen.

Television:

Six Feet Under, CSI, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Cash Cab, Without a Trace, Frasier, Seinfield, and What Not to Wear.

Books:

Spoon River Anthology, Classic American novels, American Gods, the Sevenwater series, Newsweek (not a book), Times (not a book), and more.

By far, Effortless Master is the best... my music bible.

Heroes:

Heroes are someone who rise up to the challenge, never ask for anything back, often seek mediation, and never, ever give up. People like John and Paula Beard, which I owe so much in setting my path toward music, to the people I love who never gave up on me, and the Dali Lama, in his wisdom in seeking medium ground for every conflict that arises.
