I am a 35-year senior at Southern Illinois University working on a dual degree (as opposed, I'm told by my adviser, to a 'mere' double major) in both English and History.I want to be published (the goddess knows I write enough). I have no desire to be the next Flannery O'Conner or Joyce Carol Oates (who in my opinion was one sick little puppy). I would like to be the next J.K. Rawlings (admit it, who wouldn't want that kind of power), but will happily settle for a living income publishing the stories I like to write. Mysteries and fantasies are my passion with the occasional side track into science fiction, travel and yes, even "good" literature.
