What are the aims of the station?
The station aims to both represent and broadcast to the people of the Maldon District. As well as a wide variety of music, Saint FM will provide up-to-date local and national news, travel and weather information, a wide variety of entertainment, chat shows, quizzes, phone-ins, debates, and radio drama, including a regular ‘soap’. Sport and community information will feature throughout the week. The “house-style†of the station will be lively and engaging; both light-hearted and serious items will be produced. Saint FM also aims to produce an internet simulcast. The station aims to offer programmes that will engage listeners of all ages, gender, background and interests.

Over what period of time will Saint FM broadcast?
Saint FM aims to broadcast continually 24 hours a day for a period of 5 years. It is expected that live programmes will feature from 07.00 – 22.30 for 7 days a week.
Where are Saint FM studios based?
The ‘home’ studios are based at St. Peter’s High School, Southminster Road, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex CM0 8QB. As time develops it may be possible to include outside broadcasts from around the Maldon District, along with live links by internet and telephone.

How can I contribute to a show on Saint FM?
Contact the studio to talk to a representative from the programme committee. Complete an application/suggestion form outlining details of your programme idea and level of interest. Saint FM is also glad to receive demo-tapes/discs or recorded contributions for possible broadcasting. Please use MP3 format if possible. Saint FM aims to attract presenters from all walks of life to contribute towards a lively variety of programmes. Some contributors might co-ordinate a long time slot (such as a three-hour breakfast-time show) including a range of news and features. Other presenters might produce a 30-60 minute specialist programme. Many individuals and organisations will contribute with short 5-10 minute contributions (such as a Sports review) that may be broadcast on a regular basis. Whatever your contribution, identify your purpose and intended audience.
