10 Over 3

About Me

10 Over 3 isn't so much a "band" in a traditional sense ... it was started as an outlet for songs I've written that didn't "fit" into whatever band I was in at the time ... and I just thought it might be interesting to see what would happen if I opened it up to contributions from other frustrated artists and musicians - sort of a virtual music collaborative - to see what we could come up with.
I'd really like to get a guitarist / keyboardist / vocalist , a guitarist / bassist / vocalist , and a drummer / vocalist (of the Nick D'Virgilio or Jerry Gaskill school of drumming).
Also, if you're a great lyricist, that might also help the cause.
Personally, I'd like to see this go in a progressive-yet-pop/rock direction - something Beatles influenced like Transatlantic or Spock's Beard - and maybe even some King's X and Bad Religion sounds in the mix ... but we shall see what happens.
As for me? I've played in a few Philly area bands for the past ... many years ... including Otispunk currently, and a few others - Spruce Street Revival back in the mid 90's, etc. I play guitar, bass, keyboards, and occasionally try and sing. :)
The songs that are currently on the player are some of the things I've done ... pieces of the film score from "Kill Casey," a Y100 Promo that parodies those old Snapple commercials, and, one legit song called "Glue" that is still in "demo" stage. But I have more stuff in the pipeline...
Anyway - Drop me a note here or email me by clicking here .
You must be at least 21 years old, and I'd prefer you have some kind of ASCAP / BMI affiliation. Also, having some kind of recording setup would be extremely helpful - I'm a ProTools guy, myself ...
Thanks!

Spocks Beard / Neal Morse

Intermittently, over the past couple weeks, I've really started digging into Spock's Beard's "Snow" album, with guitar in hand. I haven't managed to figure it all out yet, because I tend to NOT back i...
