About Me

I find it a bit difficult to talk about myself; I would much rather for my music to do it for me but I will try. First of all, my great passion is the creation of songs. I feel very fortunate and blessed that I was seemingly born knowing what my path in life was. For this, I give thanks to the creator every single day of my life. I will not say that my path has always been a straight one leading through beautiful meadows, wildflowers, sunshine and butterflies. The path my heart follows has sometimes been one with valleys, curves and washed out bridges but it has also been one that has taken me to mountain tops where I have walked among the clouds. But I have stayed upon it taking the good with the bad; the bitter with the sweet and will continue to do so until the circle is complete. I look for the beauty and the goodness in all living things upon this earth. Perhaps, I am somewhat of an idealist and the dreaming child never leaves my heart. I am totally against warfare for I have tasted the horror of it. That is all I have to say about that. I am not a materialistic person. As long as I have my guitar, a song to sing, a good book, good friends, a bit of food to sustain me and I am content. Also to love and be loved. These are simple things. I was fortunate enough to be exposed to all kinds of music while growing up in Georgia and so this is reflected in my songwriting. Some of my songs deal with lost love and new found love. I write from experience and observation. Other songs are just what I call fun songs that seem to come off the top of the head...the kind that seem to just fall out of the sky. Others I labor tediously over. I love playing around with words and melodies. Not everyone will like all my songs, some will like some of them and I would really be idealistic to expect everyone to like all of them.....lol. But I do what I love and love what I do and that is pretty much me....a nut in a shell.....hahaha.a
