Multi-talented 22 year old Carmen "CJ" Rosaria Jr. is a true force to be reckoned with. Hailing from Manhattan NY, CJ grew up with a passion for performing arts. At 14 CJ became a model for various designers and runway shows.
She has been recording music since she was 17. CJ has done many different recordings while looking for her own sound which she now feels she has found. "I was tossed from producer to producer, each of whom wanted me to sound like somebody else." proclaims CJ. "At this age, I feel like I have finally grown into a woman who knows what she wants, knows exactly who I am, and knows my true sound".
With new management set in place, CJ feels stronger and more confident about her career than before. She is now working with various producers and has been tirelessly traveling the country to record something new. "I know the mistakes that were made with songs like Finally. We have delayed in putting anything new out because we had to thoroughly prepare and be certain that what I put out is my best work." CJ says.
"It has been tough. From my personal life going through tough changes to the hardships of the music business. But I have stayed strong and I will put my best foot forward to make the necessary improvements." she explains.
Her new music will be more up-tempo, focusing on Pop and R&B. "I have a very diverse background which includes Spanish, so I will definitely add a touch of Latin to my music. As a matter of fact I have also been working on a Spanish album".
CJ has also been in the dance studio preparing for her debut promo tour. Dates will be announced soon! "I have been working so hard. I have been watching performers like Beyonce, Prince, Tina Turner, Christina Aguilera, Michael & Janet Jackson and The PCD's. I am trying to learn from all of them." She explains."There are always going to be people who don't want to see you succeed, but you have to work really hard to prove them wrong and prove yourself that you can do anything you put your mind to."
