Ryan was born on Valentine's Day in St. Petersburg, Florida to Kelly Weaver. Along with his older brother Aaron, Ryan was adopted and raised by Michael Weaver of Inverness, Florida. After moving around the state throughout his childhood, he finally settled down in a small town called Floral City, Florida, where he would live until graduating high school. With eleven people in the household, Ryan grew a strong belief in family values. In 1991 he entered the Army to follow in his brother's footsteps. Ryan can trace his singing back to elementary school plays, but actively started singing country music in 1993 in local bars and restaurants when he was stationed at Ft Leavenworth, just outside of Kansas City, Kansas. In 2000, he attended Army flight training at Ft Rucker, Alabama, where he became a well known face in local singing contests around Dothan, Alabama. After being re-stationed to Germany, Ryan continued singing overseas, and when deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, he wrote two songs. On January 8, 2004, his brother Aaron was killed when the Blackhawk Medivac helicopter he was riding in was shot down. Ryan returned from Iraq from combat to attend Aaron's funeral. With a new perspective on life and his deeply rooted dreams, he began actively pursing a singing career in country music. Upon re-stationing to Alabama, he entered several singing competitions, winning to open for George Jones and becoming runner up in the Military Idol competition for Ft Rucker. At that point he began singing with his band "RYDE." Some of his influences are Travis Tritt, Hank Williams, Jr., Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney and Gary Allen. His single debut, "Somewhere Above the Rain" is being submitted to radio stations around the US and is played in several country clubs. He is known for a unique sound and high energy performances. ..
