J-Hop is a southern rapper born and raised in the city of Waco,Texas. He was raised by a single hard working mother of 3. At the age of 4 he moved from the south side of Waco to the north side with his family. While living in the north side at the Villages Apts. J-Hop grew up around violence and was linked to alot of trouble. At the age of 12 influenced by Tupac and Master P, he started rapping with childhood friends around the neighborhood from making mixtapes and rapping at parties. By the year of 2000, John and his family moved from the Villages to a neighborhood located 10 blocks away. By the summer of 2003 J-Hop got alot of recognition around the city from his freestyle over the Bow Wow track "Whats My Name" and ever since he's been buzzing around the city. After Graduating in 2004 and dropping a series of mixtapes, J-Hop found himself getting into even more trouble, but since the birth of his daughter he has put his troubled past behind him and started back recording new music including the new hit single "White Air Force's" and has a new mixtape dropping in the Summer of 09.
