In the worlds of film and video, no one exemplifies it more than Scenario.Once an aspiring meteorologist, the Far Rockaway bred director’s journey began with an internship at MTV while he studied broadcasting at Kingsborough College. His craft was witnessed by millions as he contributed to the media giant’s most popular shows including The Tom Green Show, TRL, Beat Suite featuring Star & Buckwild and Direct Efx.During this time, Scenario fell in love with the creative freedom he found behind camera and began creating humorous original video spoofs during his personal time. Heeding the advice of his rapidly growing fan base, he launched Smokescreen Productions in 2000.Though he would continue his education and earn a Masters degree in Broadcasting at Brooklyn College with a 3.9 GPA, Scenario was determined to get the respect from the industry his remarkable talent deserved. “For seven days I literally camped out in front of New York’s Hot 97, playing my reel for every passerby. “Ironically, Star & Buckwild, the former hosts of MTV’s defunct Beat Suite were hosting Hot 97’s morning show and a mutual associate recommended Scenario for 3LW’s "Search for a New Member" documentary. This would lead to other projects including a Winterfresh commercial and a street racing documentary in 2002. This would only be a glimpse of things to come… Refusing to follow trends, Scenario awed his peers with perhaps the most innovative contribution to the music video scene, the remix video.While it has become common for aspiring rappers to make unauthorized remixes of popular songs, along with lyrical prodigy Sanatra, Scenario ushered a new format of independent promotion. Skillfully editing a notable music video, he replaced the featured artist with Sanatra while maintaining the original background. This innovative marketing strategy literally shook the industry to the core as several of Scenario’s videos received national air play and garnered rave reviews in several leading publications including The Source and Next Level Magazine.Since, his extensive portfolio has grown to include projects for Wyclef Jean, Juvenile, Cassidy, Stat Quo, Whoo Kid, and international recording artist Des. Whether it’s rock, pop, hip-hop or country music, if the song is hot…he’s your man.
