Sounds Like: "Pennies" is a golden country gem that sounds for all the world like a classic Ray Price shuffle. The title song, "Now You're Gonna Be Loved," is a minor masterpiece of western swing, during which it's easy to imagine Bob Wills calling out to Leon. That's all because Jessie had the good sense and fortitude to perform with a downright gifted bunch of players. That straight steel, stand-up bass, and gypsy guitar create what discerning ears might call the "genuine article." Better still, Jessie's marvelous voice recalls the glory days of Patsy Cline, with just a few hints of Kay Star and Jo Stafford thrown in for good measure. She's a firecracker! Reviewer: Adrian Mazar This is one sultry Texas torch singer! When one listens to the sweet tones of an artist like the gorgeous Jessie Lee Miller, one must wonder why this performer is not famous? A cohesive, consistent album expertly produced by High Noon's awsome Sean Mencher, this disc is highly recommended for all fans of western swing, country blues and rockabilly... and we love you too Jessie..Reviewer: Fidel C. Garbajosa This album is AWESOME.. if you like good ole Western Swing, Honky Tonk, Hillbilly Boogie and some 40s jazz touches this is a MUST listen. Conducted by magician (and producer) Sean Mencher (I love his work with The Bourbonaires) and a fine bunch of musicians it's the best country CD I've listened for a long time.. ENJOY IT..
