Blue and The Swill Merchants

About Me

BLUE AND THE SWILL MERCHANTSSometimes in life, its hard to sum things up in just a paragraph, especially when it is a long story. Well we come from a very cold, snowbound, small area, and it all started on a very memorable night in the spring of 2002 when Derek Tuoriniemi and I, Joe Peterson were on an all night mission to complete the greatest World Geography project known to mankind. It ended up a one sided affair as Derek had fallen asleep and I was up all night putting the nuts and bolts together, to make a long story short we knew that there was going to be a close bond after Derek received a better grade on the project, due to his antics sending me into a laughing fit right in the middle of presenting our masterpiece the next day in class. I guess from there the story goes. We are greatly influenced by everyone and everything that we have come into contact with. Not to mention the likes of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Elliott Smith, Bright Eyes, Classical, Blues, the Northern Lights and Lake Superior. We have been playing music on and off together over the past few years in various projects leading up to the creation of The Swill Merchants in the summer of 2007. "baseball fields are overgrown"
