Trippa!

No one can really pinpoint when the music began in Trippa's life. Some say that the seed was planted early on by an old friend, who showed him the sounds of the Greatful Dead and the jam bands of that time (as well as the psychadelics that went with it). At the age of thirteen he would pick up a guitar and start strumming out his own tunes, playing in his own bands, and playing out at his own shows. A rockstar at heart, Trippa knows no boundaries.Trippa was always moving back and forth between New England and Florida, and this would be a huge influence on his style. The progressive sounds of DJs like Kimbal Collins melted together with the breakbeat sounds of artists like DJ Icey in Trippa's brain. International acts like Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and Rabbit In The Moon would blow his mind, while artists such as David Gilmour, Warren Haynes and Jerry Garcia would speak to his soul. Constant travel made the sources of inspiration seem endless. He would fuse together his passion for that endless jam sound with the current trends toward electronically produced music, and the result was the DJ you see today.Behind the decks he is furious. He is not the kind of DJ that just links records end-to-end. This DJ is contantly in motion, snapping in a sudden snare clap or tweaking eq's like a demon. He has played events all along the East Coast, opening for turntable legends such as Circuit Breaker and J-Break (of the Cyberian Knights). Never content to stick with just clubs and raves he will still play at just about any house party that comes his way. Trippa is currently in the studio as well, and soon you will see his own take on the style that he is so passionate for. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears to the floor!
