Apparently, I have now stumbled into the northwest. Where if the rain doesn't drown me, the alcohol will.
I do, however, find the United States to be a shithole and that its ignorance and backwards-ness stems from the assholes on high, the conglomerates and the current administration, where stubborn ideology trumps reason and common sense. It then trickles down through the rest of government, military, and media, and thusly down into the schools and the population of ghettos, trailer parks, and suburban developments until we get to the point that paris hilton's recent dumbshittery and some religious obsession with gay marriage is more important than accelerated environmental meltdown, a world trade trainwreck, and lack of decent health care, even for those of us already paying out the nose for it.
Not that the grass is always greener on the other genocide, but... it's sure not the best place I've been to... stupid fuckers.
