Heaven knows I'm not an angel but I'd really like to be. I've made mistakes So I'm aware of my faults. My moods go up and down And sometimes what I've said I've said all wrong. I'm not the least or the most desired But I set one man’s heart on fire. I look at my children with much surprise when I see how special I am in their eyes. I don't ever want to be less than they think I am. I don't have to say it they can see the love in my eyes. It’s a journey we take, this life we are given, for some its short and some a long hard living.
We explore our life in depth as we grow older, always looking to find a familiar shoulder.
We can’t go back and change things we have already done, we just have to keep changing and moving on.
We keep going day by day, needing to have a routine to feel safe.
We want to live vibrantly in our life, not letting it slip by, but we often just grow old and ask why?
Why didn’t I do that when I was young? Why? Why?
What could I have become?
I found safety in my cocoon for many years,
sheltered from the hurts life threw my way.
I've been growing,
one day at a time,
to become the beautiful, angelic creature
I'm meant to be within the haven of the cocoon.
Then one day, with lots of hard work and determination,
the cocoon cracked and the Angelic Butterfly emerged
stronger than ever before.
As the wings slowly unfurl, so many dreams,
long forgotten, are beginning to be realized.As the comfortable fear melts, and feelings are felt,
the wings are fully expanding to reveal the true beauty.As the butterfly's beginning to take flight and
soar to new heights once thought impossible.
With the help of God, and the Angels,
the only way for this butterfly to go
(as all butterflies go)
is up, up, up!
