About Me
Rich has been making audiences' sides hurt from laughter for years. His hilarious material, entertaining musical parodies, and amusing characters, grab the audience right from the start and don't
let go.
Born in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx, Rich grew up always wanting to be the center of attention, whether it was at school, his neighborhood, or family gatherings. A Bronx boy to the core,
Rich attended DeWitt Clinton High School and, after receiving his Bachelor's degree from Fordham University, worked as a computer programmer analyst for major Insurance companies for 10 years.
One day, bored with his day job, Rich dared himself to get up on stage and try stand up comedy. That night he performed during an open-mike night in Manhattan, and his passion for the stage was ignited.
Rich has been considered one of the hardest working comics in the business today. His acting experience has had Rich make several appearances on "Law and Order" and "One Life to Live". His
film debut was in the movie "Punchline" with Tom Hanks and Sally Field. Rich has appeared on over twenty national and cable television comedy shows.
On the stage Rich co-hosted "Latin Madness", the highly acclaimed Latin Dance Musical, for
three years and also co-starred in the hit musical revue "Latin Fever" at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino
in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
As for stand-up comedy, Rich is headlining Comedy Clubs across the country and has performed at more than 175 colleges. He's also appeared in concert with recording artists George Benson, The
Beach Boys, Jose Feliciano, and Motown Legends The Temptations and The Four Tops.
Wanting to sharpen his writing, producing and comedic acting skills, Rich co-founded the
talented sketch comedy group, "The SalSoul Comedy Troupe" in 1995. SalSoul has toured clubs and colleges across the country and performed their monthly show at the world famous "Carolines On Broadway" in N.Y.C. for four years.
Audience members have commented that Rich's unique style and comedic work reminds them of Jerry Lewis. His charisma and love of comedy help Rich connect with any audience.
They may be strangers in the beginning but at the end of his routine, his audience will become both friends and admirers who will have shared in a gift...the gift of laughter.
