About Me

Never mind who we are and who we’ve been there with. We’re just happy to be fortunate enough to play music professionally. We are married, so when we hit the road, nobody’s left lonely at home... We can work duo and cool different trio ensembles but we have a real depth of amazing veteran players who are willing to come out on a rainy night and play for the sake and love of playing... Our full band is a wonder..."It’s not just about making it, it’s about making the best music we can make no matter where we are. Our job is to make people forget their troubles one song at a time"... J & J ...Hey, thanks for stopping by, enjoy the music*******"Just keep playing, man, and something will happen" - Jerry Garcia*******"I’ve heard the June Rushing tape and it’s a marvel. She’s so sassy, and to hear my songs without a hint of Dead is a bit of a revelation" - Robert Hunter*******"June’s voice really needs to be heard by everybody" - Terry Haggerty*******"June, you sang and I was glad to be alive" - John Barlow******* Hey, guess what?, we’ve got more CD’s. That’s right!, Walker After Midnight is once again available for you to listen to in the comfort of your own home, headphones or automobile. . We don’t have paypal or any of that online stuff, sooooo, if you want one you’ll have to send $15.00 in a greeting card to: June Rushing, P.O. Box 946, Depoe Bay, Or. 97341................If you don’t have change, you can send $20.00, or $10.00..... Anybody that actually goes to all that trouble gets a CD in the mail. If you like what you hear on our myspace site, you’ll really like the rest of the CD. June sings several Ice nine compositions including Hunter/Garcia’s "Ruben and Cerise" and a heart rendering "High Time". The Title Track "Walker After Midnight" was co-written by Robert Hunter and Joren Rushing. Also on the CD is Junes rockin’ version of Hunter’s "Kick It On Down....................Well, we think it’s worth a listen

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: junerushing.com
Band Members: We’ve had the honor to play with some of the best musicians in the northwest and beyond. It’s not unusual to find us working with jazzmen Evans Longshore on upright bass and Steve Burkle ..boards. Holy Modal Rounder Robin Remaily is more often than not playing his fiddle, mandolin and steel guitar. We occasionally work with fusion bassist Steve Cook and our longtime bassist and Restauranteur John Bingham, Mandolinist Randy Davenport, percussionists Evan Peterson and Larry Blake. We would like to thank Sons Of Champlin guitarist Terry Haggerty for joining us on a string of dates in late October. We also work occasionally with Harper and vocalist Elizabeth Rudkin. We really hope that Elizabeth comes back soon, that was amazing!...Feel free to hang out and give us a listen, wander through our friends if you like and hear some of the most amazing music.......... If you want to hear us perform live in ’08, you should maybe think about coming to Oregon... Who knows, anything’s possible...

Earth day 08

I remember the first Earth Day in 1970, I think... We all piled into a Buick the size of an apartment house and drove to the University where we sat on the lawn with a lot of seemingly like min...
