The Bio OfRAYWOODZEast Coast heavyweight rap artist RAYWOODZ expanded his following with a series of increasingly superstar-laced adrenalin rushing albums beginning in the late '90s, ultimately becoming the first Rapper to use his Government name. Years before, Raywoodz began as a member of the Hilltop Hustlers, a loose collective of East Coast rappers in Philadelphia where battle rapping was at its prime. Shortly after earning his respect in 1999, Raywoodz began recording with local Philly Rap Artist Padre and Small Mills (aka Co- defendants) at Ruff house/Judgment studios in Conshohocken PA. At this time the Co-defendants introduced Raywoodz featuring on many projects. The Co-defendants never launched like predicted forcing the group to split up becoming independent rap artist. Raywoodz mainstream breakthrough came when he signed as an independent rap artist with Philadelphia’s own Hill TOP Entertainment in 2005. There, he has established a infinite amount of hit songs featuring local rap artist NAAM brigade, Cassidy, Cise, LUX, Small Mill, Schoolly D, Freeway and the list goes on. Hilltop Entertainment was seized due to an unenclosed explanation and the music was never released. This unexpected delay forced Raywoodz and other artist from Hilltop to venture to bigger and better things. Lux started a recording company called “Corner to Corner” records where he united Raywoodz, Padre, & Tango to become the front runners of the label. There they recorded a hit song called “All Around Hustler” and shot the video which was predicted to be on 106 & Park. Due to lack of communication, distribution, and unorganized methods of the administration at Corner to Corner records, the video was never released and a budget was never negotiated. This angered Raywoodz unbelievably and drove him and Padre to start thier own entertainment company called “Touch Screen Entertainment. Him and longtime friend/artist Padre and Tru cannon invested in a mega studio in Coatesville PA where the three make unlimited hit albums at will. Playing the role as Artist and President, Raywoodz is more focused than ever and very busy lately. Releasing the first project off of Touch Screen Entertainment introducing L- A boys Inc. “The Stimulus Check Vol. 1 The Clearing”. Thanks to Management Dan Bettencourt and Disc Makers the project has been multiplied in the thousands with intent to start a bidding war with all of the major recording companies. His overall goal is to use his creativity, experience, and a business mind set to give Hip-Hop the breath of fresh air that it has been waiting for, and that we as listeners deserve.
