About Me

Hello everyone! This is Jordan Young here and Im a Junior at IHS(Independence High School) I play bluegrass and some old time classic country music but primarely bluegrass. I play the Mandolin and Guitar and Ive been known to holler out a song every now and a again. I got started playing the mandolin thru my grandfather, he played a little bit and I asked him to show me a few things and I guess you could say the rest is history. Honestly I dont know how I got started playing the guitar, I reckon I just picked it up one day and watched how other people played and thats how I learned the chords and basic runs. The first real band I played with would be The Songcatchers and I still curently play with them. I also play in a band centered in Mullans WV called The Bluegrass Crossties. I play a 1969 gibson f5 mandolin preveously owned by Everett Lilly who played with Flatt and Scruggs, its not my only mandolin but its probably one of my better ones. I play a 2008 SWDGT Stustainable Wood model Martin guitar (thanks santa!). I thank ya for tacking the time to stop by my page and reading all this check back for updates to my schedule CD information and any other details...Jordan Young guys layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotCommentsThis Feller Knows How He Likes His EggsThe Kentucky Headhunters + Bill Monroe = a good day
