Cooking, drinking (I love Tucher beer w/a slice of orange), my mom's Gin & Tonics, fishing, camping, hanging out with friends, playing darts (and winning) the Rays, reading.
WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET: Elvis Costello because he's just plain cool and has the most amazing voice ever. I would love to talk politics with Bill Maxwell (by far the best columnist @ The St. Pete Times,) Bono and Jon Stewart. And I would love to get a beer with Tommy Lee, Ben Stiller, & Zach Braff. And I'd be happy to just gaze at anyone who gets the republicans out of the White House.
Everything on my ipod: Madonna, U2, Shins, Arcade Fire, Interpol, Costello, West Indian Girl, Fugazi, Bryan Ferry, Mazzy Star, Astaire, Beach Boys, Beastie Boys, Beatles, Zero 7, Thievery Corporation, Squeeze, Ben Folds, Bob Marley, Coldplay, Carly Simon, Delays, Ditty Bops, The Fruit Bats, Hard Fi, INXS, Madness, No Doubt, Gwen, Jesus & Mary Chain, Marjorie Fair, Psychadelic Furs, REM, The Pietasters, Mustard Plug, Rogue Wave, The Smiths, Squeeze, Springsteen, Pretenders, Red Hot Chili Peppers (especially old peppers,) The Police, Souixie & the Banshees, Ice Cube, Johnny Cash, Lily Allen.
Goodfellas (or any gangster movie actually,) Gardenstate, Gone with the Wind, all the old John Hughes flicks ,Meet the Parents, Harry Potter, 40 Yr Old Virgin, Napoleon Dynamite, The Shining, The Exorcist, Brokeback Mountain, Something's Gotta Give, Million Dollar Baby. Also, The Departed was awesome!
House, Rescue Me, Scrubs and I'm a sucker for American Idol. I'll also watch any political program. And the best show on the planet has to be "I Shouldn't be Alive" on the Discovery channel. My son & I are completely addicted.
My favorite authors are Anne Tyler, Connie May Fowler (if you enjoy old Florida.) Favorite books would include Gone w/the Wind, Kite Runner, Bushwacked by Maureen Dowd, a lot of the classics by Jane Austin (Emma, Sense & Sensibility, etc.) If you want to be freaked out by our government (is it possible these days?), check out "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins. I also enjoy biographies. But mainly I read a lot newspapers and I love my subscription to The Week.
Does anyone NOT say their mother??
