..Surprise Visit!... We had an interesting evening last night. The eve of the Presidental election, something was going down! Picture this. I'm making dinner, Dad and son are playing video games, and daughter playing in her room. Our front door is very old and mostly glass. So we took notice at the blue and red flashing lights and sirens doing that "blip, blip, blip" sound. When we looked out front, there was a motorcycle cop parked directly in front of our house! Ummm, we don't have motorcycle cops around here! Then about 20 more motorcycle cops rode past him and went ahead! Holy cow! What's going on?! This is a country bumkin county! So, we asked the cop in front of our house. (Small yard, we sit right on the road) He said Senator Biden was on the way! Really? Here?! Then a bunch of big busses rolled up and went by. Kids were all excited and waving. So we had to go see where they went. Turns out they stopped about a mile up the road from us! The road was blocked and taped but you could walk up. Got past secret service and waited to snap a picture. Turns out Senator Biden made 18 or 19 stops in small towns to thank all of the supporters and to speak with a few folks on the phone! It was a surprise visit! NOBODY knew they were coming! I think the campaign office only had about 15 min. notice! People were calling the local radio station trying to figure out what was going on and they had no clue either. Everybody just knew "something" was up. Anyhow, I thought that was pretty neat of him to do that on the eve of the election and all. Will he be our next vice president? I got one decent picture to share... ..
