everything is interesting to me.... with the exception of lust for money and many things associated with money: bills, gas, corporate mumbo jumbo, etc... but loan sharks are kinda cool, my great uncle was one of them... loan sharks look like this: i'm interested in (please, not the same as "i like," necessarily...) people; culture(s), including religion, language, philosophy, and probably everything else listed; photography and art in general; books; momma kitty (and gus too); history, pertaining mostly to the arts; music and dance; food, especially avocados, artichokes, and my new found favorite: dal; dolls; crows; taxonomy; have an extreem distaste for slavery, and its more common forms: globalization and christianization; and finally, but not limited to, acts that are considered "high class", by way of conduct... not money, like gallery functions, wine, cafe on-goings, opera/theater, dinner parties, etc, etc... love periods...
plastic people. these are paris mannies... adding to the collection..
i like most forms of music with the exception of country and gangsta' rap... have found a love for political hip hop. sage francis and blue scholars in particular. will always have a love for radiohead, bjork, ani d, postal service, death cab, and harper.
i am still trying to figure this one out. there are many i love but many sure do get my goat. Current favorite: The Motorcycle Diaries...
i f*&..$@g hate television!!!
books...hmmm.well i guess i have been reading a lot lately. before i went to paris, i read "ismael". this book opened my eyes to many things i have been neglecting lately. it has an interesting spin on religion too if you ask me. while in paris, i read: "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" by kesey. good book and i highly recommend it for you nut cases out there... a little insightful is all and good read; besides, your all "nutty" if you ask me; the "the alchemist". i think it lives up to the talk. i thought it had the potential of being one of those recommendations, and it was Many a time, that flops and you realize it is popular because it is supposed to be "cool". like hey man, it's about alchemy... cool huh? though that seems to happen with movies more often... but no, it was a damn good book and has some kick to it. but of course you've all have read it so i'll shut up about it; "switch bitch" by roald dahl ..... great book and highly recommend, thank you kurt... (keep in mind, people, that i have this in case any of you want to borrow it); "breakfast of champions," by vonnegut. very different in nature from "sirens of titan" (yes, i'll admit that i've only read two of vonnegut's books... shame shame on me..), but both are amazing. right now, i am reading: "skinny legs and all" by tom robbins.... i'll give you the skinny on it when i am done...or near future. THIS HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED IN ALMOST A YEAR!!! so i guess i lied... get your own skinny.
my "heroine" is, hands down, tighe's mom... she is the most beautiful woman i have ever met. not to mention she has produced a decent son (good friend) and a beautiful daughter ((n.) a potential)...after that would have to be my parents, but not for the same reasons. they hold me above water and are there every step of the way... i love them.
