About Me

You can't take the sky from me
More than you need to know...

About me:

I'm a married father of 4 struggling to thrive in the Alpha culture. I don't look like I should, don't sound like I look, and don't act like I sound. You have to know me to love me, but can easily hate me at first sight. But to get to know me, you have to be able to completely ignore your first impressions...I'm really not as ugly as I look.

Who I'd like to meet:

People who like to talk about their kids...or wouldn't mind listening to me talk about mine. If neither of those fit, you should at least be interesting and like the same strange crap that I do. Oh...if you are in the STC, you're cool by association. Well, actually, you're uncool by definition, but in my odd mind you'd be considered cool. Compared to me, at least.

Stuff I like:

General: My kids - My Church (FBC Alpharetta) - Writing - Reading - Web Design - Disney World! - Murder Mystery Parties - Working with our Youth Ministry - Fishing - Scottish Highland Games - Clan Armstrong - GeezerGamers.com - Society for Technical Communication

Music:Rathkeltair - Seven Nations - Great Big Sea - The Chieftains - Casting Crowns - Social Distortion - Johnny Cash - Toby Keith - Alison Krauss - Dropkick Murphys - P.O.D. - FBCA Student Praise Band

Movies: Star Wars - Braveheart - Nightmare Before Christmas - Lord of the Rings - Stand By Me - Old Universal Horror movies - The Exorcist - Glory - Office Space

Books: J.R.R. Tolkien - C.S. Lewis - Bernard Cornwell - Tony Hillerman - Peter Straub - Jeffrey Deaver - The Holy Bible

An odd gift

For most people, I guess it wouldn't be considered an odd gift. In fact, I know a lot of people who might enjoy a coffee warmer as a gift.  I received one from a cousin (whom I love dearly,) but ...

Myspace decor

I like being able to change the way MySpace looks. Being the type I am, I'll be changing it almost weekly.

Yuck

Normally, I would be at Church on Wed night, watching over the Youth to make sure the kids are safe during their weekly gathering.  This week, I am huddled on the couch, trying to break a fever.&...
