About Me

Create your own Friend Quiz here****DISCLAIMER: Yes, I realize that my profile is so tired, so outdated, so....."Friendster." Please bear wih me while I find time in my busy schedule to spice it up. Thank you for your patience.****
Some may use the adjective "childish" but I like to describe myself as "illuminated with childlike wonder." Although I wasn't allowed to have a trampoline growing up, I still love my parents. I can find joy in the smallest thing, whether it be hearing "Tubthumping" (I get knocked down! But I get up again!) on the radio (that song is sooo underrated),cracking open a box of delicious Kraft Macaroni & Cheese or working out the final kinks for the Jennifer Fan Page. My goal for the year is to be latina and I am well on my way, thanks to my fluency in Spanglish. I have aborted my plans to begin geisha training and am instead aspiring to be the third Olsen twin. The burden of being an albino red-headed Canadian with an aversion to sushi was just too much to bear. (The aversion to sushi may actually help in my quest to be an Olsen; I just need to develop an aversion to all other types of food as well.)I have not given up on being multicultural, though, and I am still totally worldsmart, thanks to my year in Up With People. Not familiar? Refer to "South Park" Episode 301, featuring "Getting Gay With Kids," to get an idea. Aside from my obvious wit and charm, I would have to say that my best personality traits are my hair and my ability to excel at being photogenic. (And, yes, I am aware that those are not really "personality traits.")
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
I have an extremely strong sense of smell.
I find that chewing bubble gum helps with my ADD.
I hate coffee but love Diet Mountain Dew.
I am fascinated with the idea of being a stewardess but I don't particularly like being on airplanes.
The highlight of my life was being voted Wittiest at Russellville High School.
The Travelocity Gnome definitely has a huge fan in me. He can say so much with just one expression. I love ya TG(n)!
I have a canopy over my bed and I'm not afraid to use it.
NOTE TO READER: Aforementioned canopy has since fallen down in unfortunate tugging incident.
You are Maryiln Monroe

Your Inner Pop Princess Is Kelly Clarkson
"Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I'd just stare out my window
Dreaming of what could be"
No doubt about it, you have star quality. Might just take a while to get there. Who's Your Inner Pop Princess?

From Go-Quiz.comMy love of music compels me to give daily solo performances in the shower and car and moonlight as a karaoke hostess. I love to read and learn new things. I am a fabulous writer and have been referred to by so-called "friends" as a "grammar Nazi." I love anything that involves laughter, namely comedy. Other hobbies and interests include: going to the movies and eating hot dogs; keeping up on pop culture by reading trashy magazines; reading about and watching shows on ghosts and fighting for Muppet rights (or as I refer to them, our "friends in felt").
You Are Miss Piggy
A total princess and diva, you're totally in charge - even if people don't know it.
You want to be loved, adored, and worshiped. And you won't settle for anything less.
You're going to be a total star, and you won't let any of the "little people" get in your way.
Just remember, piggy, never eat more than you can lift! The Muppet Personality Test

I'd like to meet:

I want to meet superfun people who will appreciate my sarcasm and verbally spar with me. It is also important that they have the word "superfun" in their lexicons. I need friends who can put me in my place once in a while. You must not take offense when I tease you; you should realize that that is the way I show affection and that if I DIDN'T like you, I simply wouldn't talk to you at all.You must enjoy going to the movies and eating hot dogs. The hot dogs ARE KEY. You must be able to step outside of your comfort zone and challenge yourself. You must never allude to the fact that I grew up in Alabama. It's bad for my image. Brains help, but silliness will take you farther. As a footnote - I would also like to meet Ginger Spice. And it would be great to meet a hair casting director who could cast my hair in some "projects."PSS - And Will Ferrell, too.

Music:

More than anything, I listen to talk radio. That is how I know I am getting old. Don't worry, though. It's not the educational, enriching kind. I listen to the mindless kind. I love love love the Frosty, Heidi and Frank Show on 97.1!! As far as real music -Sting, Dave Matthews Band, Dixie Chicks, Bubblegum Pop (including classic Deborah Gibson, nee Debbie), Madonna, ABBA, SHOWTUNES (especially ones about Siamese twins!), Christina Aguilera, Britney, JT, John Mayer, Mana, Weezer, Shakira, Billy Joel, Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, No Doubt, U2 and keep it on the downlow but I'm also a big fan of the "Lizzie McGuire" soundtrack - oh and I am also enjoying a renewed appreciation for country music (the music of my roots) ;-).. width="425" height="350" ....

Movies:

width="425" height="350" ....Life Is Beautiful, Moulin Rouge, The Lion King, Dead Poets Society, Seven, Chicago, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Sweet Home Alabama, Legally Blonde (only the first -the 2nd is sooo unrealistic!), Love Actually, The Sixth Sense, Zoolander, Annie, 28 Days Later, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Crash, Rent, Stranger Than Fiction, Pan's Labyrinth

Television:

..The Office(BBC), The Office (NBC),America's Next Top Model, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Starting Over, Made, Tiara Girls (actually any time of pageant-themed show will do), Lizzie McGuire, The Soup, Everybody Loves Raymond, Haunted History, South Park, Full House , Project Runway,Ghost Hunters,Arrested Development, Lost, Six Feet Under, Hollywood Squares (only the ones featuring me), VH1's I Love the 80s, The Facts of Life, Law & Order:SVU and about 50% of the programming on A&E. I have finally been freed of my addiction to the regular version of "Real World." I think that means that I am officially now an adult.

Books:

The Artist's Way; Memoirs Of A Geisha; Confessions Of A Shopaholic; Harry Potter; The Red Tent; If Only...The Autobiography of Geri Halliwell; Many Lives, Many Masters; Messages from the Masters; The Da Vinci Code; Anything by John Irving; How to Win Friends & Influence People; The Time Traveler's Wife; Tuesdays with Morrie; Conversations with God; Bridget Jones's Diary;Anything by world-famous psychic Sylvia Browne (as seen on "Montel"), The Secret
