Current news:
SOUL-D-OUT's (AOM) Album of the month for May 09 is.
Sharron Nyarambi: Self titled.
Canvey Island, East London is the home turf for Sharron Nyarambi, whose contemporary brand of soul and R&B is rather different to that of Wilko Johnson and co. Beyonce is an obvious influence vocally, and very much stylistically too on Sharron's opening track "Since I Was 6". Moving on, there are definite jazz tinges in the background of "My Fire", Charlton Lake's rapping gives more of an edge to "The Break Up", and Dominic Nyarambi performs a similar role on the apocalyptic praise track "Holy". God's intimate knowledge of us, as expressed in Psalm 139, is treated sensitively on "You're With Me", and for her finale, Sharron goes back to her African roots on the untitled bonus track. For an 18-year old, these performances are undoubtedly impressive, and the production is of a pretty high standard too. Sharron Nyarambi is definitely one to watch.
If you enjoy neosoul and R&B, or are just someone who enjoys good music, then you'll love this album!

SOUL-D-OUT's (AOM) Album of the month for April 09 is.
Tracy Cruz: Feel'osophy.
Tracy Cruz's debut album is a showcase for her vocal and writing talent. Combining Whitney Houston with Jill Scott & Ledisi, her voice is surprisingly full & rich, with incredible range. Through the musical inspirations of Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Sarah Vaughan, and Ledisi, Tracy Cruz has blended her favorite distinctive vocal styles to create her own rare sound. Strong melodies, catchy hooks, introspective lyrics, and lush arrangements characterize Tracy’s Soul/Jazz/R&B creations.
As the primary songwriter, she brings her personal observations and experiences on love and life with eloquent storytelling and vivid imagery to her songs. Her debut album “FEEL'OSOPHY†is the study of emotions through musical words and sounds. The 16 track album encompasses all layers of feeling such as joy, sorrow, anger, excitement, and hope. Tracy Cruz and producer Allen Ross purposely used different vocal styles and musical arrangements to truly capture a world of emotion in each song.
If you enjoy neosoul and R&B, or are just someone who enjoys good music, then you'll love this album!

Soulcyde: Inclusive !!!
A chance meeting at a London rehearsal studio led to the birth of Soulcyde. Natz and Toshi realised that they were both passionate about "real" music.
For Natz her love is performing live, she uses every opportunity to empower her audience, very much a girls girl, she believes that it is a "true gift to be a woman" her lyrics export the idea of fearlessness and independence without alienating her male followers who love her honest and unabashed appeal. Heavily influenced by raw emotion, she writes for Soulcyde.
Ask about her influences she will tell you Lenny Kravitz, for his hot looks and style, Bob Marley, for his writing genius, the Legend that is Chaka Khan for her delivery and Erykah Badu for her artistry.
