My name is Craig and I play guitar, dobro, pedal steel, and a little mandolin. I live here in "sunny" L.A. and work as a session musician, teacher & producer. I love jazz, bluegrass, blues, "old" country, and any strange combinations of the aforementioned styles.
Since moving to the Los Angeles area in 2005, I have performed as the guitarist and dobro player for alt-bluegrass band Cliff Wagner & The Old 7. We were recently featured on national television in the FOX premier of The Next Great American Band where we placed 7th. Prior to the show, The Old 7 performed throughout the SW at festivals such as The Colorado River Bluegrass Festival, Parker, and Yuma bluegrass festivals.
I've also done some eclectic studio work including the Nintendo Wii video game release Balls of Fury as well as the TV shows Cold Case, Close to Home, and films such as, Disfigured, and So Life Goes On, and Sticks and Stones. Also, I was a Guitarist for the L.A. Premiere of the musical tick, tick...BOOM!. In addition to live performances at venues such as the House of Blues, Viper Room, Hotel Cafe, and The Mint, I've done sessions at some of LA's best studios including Capitol Records, Westlake Audio, The Record Plant, and Sagen Sound.
NEWS:The session work for composer Paul Hepker is NOW on the Discovery Channel TUESDAY nights at 10pm. The show is called: "The Toughest Race On Earth: Iditarod" in Alaska.
